Another dram of Bulleit Bourbon (I can't bear to call it "frontier whiskey" because it's manifestly not). Nothing new or interesting to report, only that this whiskey evolves marvelously in the glass. It's not particularly pleasant when first poured -- grainy, spirity, and harsh -- but a few minutes in the glass reveal an excellent dessert Bourbon. The insincerity of the marketing really does bother me, but it's still a very good whiskey.

Last Night's Tipple
Another dram of Bulleit Bourbon (I can't bear to call it "frontier whiskey" because it's manifestly not). Nothing new or interesting to report, only that this whiskey evolves marvelously in the glass. It's not particularly pleasant when first poured -- grainy, spirity, and harsh -- but a few minutes in the glass reveal an excellent dessert Bourbon.
