Attack of the Horrible Uniforms

At home, the Mountaineers of West Virginia University typically wear navy blue jerseys. Tonight, playing against Louisville, they apparently decided that the Oregon Ducks needed some competition in the Ugliest Football Uniforms Of All Time contest and so decided to wear all yellow. And West Virginia won, 38-31, which means that someone in the athletic department might get the idea that these are lucky uniforms and break them out with regularity now. Let's hope that someone with better sense prevails and commits these ugly things to the scrap heap of history.

(And, for the record, I was rooting for West Virginia. The victory improves them to 8-1 and keeps them in position to win the Big East, provided that they can win their last three games. The November 24 game against Connecticut could prove to be a very interesting game. The picture to the right is from the Times West Virginian.)
